Upjohn Institute Senior Economist Tim Bartik presents his work on spurring growth in distressed communities Tuesday, May 13 alongside experts from media, government, academia and advocacy at a Washington Center for Equitable Growth forum on populism and economic policy. The forum runs from noon to 3:30 at the National Union Building in Washington, D.C. and streams live on the Equitable Growth YouTube channel. 

The forum also marks the launch of an Equitable Growth essay series. Bartik's essay, on how governments can help solve the employment problems of people in distressed places, will be available for download here after the event.
