Kathy’s responsibilities include oversight of internal controls and accounting procedures, developing and growing the capabilities of the accounting staff, financial reporting, budgeting, implementing process improvements, investment management, and executing Upjohn Institute’s financial strategy.
Kathy earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Western Michigan University; she also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with an accounting concentration from Hope College. Kathy started her accounting career at local retailer, transitioned into cookie manufacturing and then landed on nonprofit. Most recently she was CFO of an organization focused on helping people with disabilities.
