Director, Michigan Works! Southwest

Jakki Bungart-Bibb is the Director of Operations at Upjohn’s Center for Workforce Innovation and Solutions and concurrently serves as the Director for Michigan Works! Southwest. In her dual leadership roles, Jakki oversees the administration and strategic direction of local, state, and federally funded employment and training programs across Branch, Calhoun, Kalamazoo, and St. Joseph Counties.

With nearly three decades of experience in workforce development, Jakki brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to advancing employment opportunities in Southwest Michigan. Her expertise spans program development, policy implementation, and operational leadership, making her a respected voice in the field.

Jakki plays an active role in shaping workforce policy statewide as a member of several boards, including Michigan Works! Association Board of Directors. She holds a master’s degree in Family Studies from Spring Arbor University and is formally trained in Data Solutions, Business Solutions, and Policy Academy frameworks.
