Recent work by the Institute's Tim Bartik and Brad Hershbein is the subject of a story on the PBS News Hour's website. Titled "If you grew up poor, your college degree may be worth less," The piece reveals that the increase in lifetime earnings from having a bachelor's degree, relative to having just a high school diploma, is much smaller for people who grew up poor than it is for people who grew up wealthier.
