Pulse hosts CEO Action Summit to address childcare issues

On Tuesday, Oct. 25, KC Ready 4s and Pulse at the Upjohn Institute hosted a CEO Action Summit in Kalamazoo. The summit, geared toward people in executive leadership, buildt on the CEO Summit held in March

Partners include Battle Creek Unlimited, the Upjohn Institute and Southwest Michigan First, with funding support from the Early Childhood Investment Corporation. Pulse will unveil https://pulseroadmap.org  a site with tools to help employers address the childcare challenges facing their workforce.

Michelle Richard, Senior Education Advisor to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, discussed the investments the state of Michigan is making to stabilize the childcare industry. Attendees had an opportunity to network, learn and develop plans to take action. 

Community partners answered questions about the tools in the roadmap and provided personal connections based on employers' interest. The event was held at Bell's Eccentric Cafe in Kalamazoo.
