Upjohn Institute Senior Economist Aaron Sojourner briefed the Federal Reserve Board of Governors July 12 on how COVID-19 is affecting the labor market and, especially, marginalized workers.

Sojourner later shared highlights from his briefing in a Twitter thread

The Board of Governors, a federal agency that reports to Congress, provides guidance for the Federal Reserve System and oversees the 12 reserve banks.

"Briefing the Board of Governors is a rare opportunity to help inform some of the biggest decisions affecting the U.S. economy," Sojourner said. "It's an honor to have been invited."

Sojourner joined the Upjohn Institute in June.
