Jakki Bungart-Bibb, director of Michigan Works! Southwest and director of operations for the Center for Workforce Innovation and Solutions, was recently selected to join a network of leaders from across the United States to create conditions where all children, families, and communities can thrive. This innovative fellowship brings together 80 dynamic and diverse leaders from local communities and the national child- and family-serving ecosystem. The 18-month fellowship curriculum prepares leaders to rise to the challenges of our time, emphasizing collective leadership to affect systems change.
"I am deeply honored to be selected as a W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network Fellow," Bungart-Bibb said. "At a time of great uncertainty, I believe this moment also brings unprecedented opportunity for collective, community-driven innovation and impact. I am excited to learn from extraordinary leaders from across the country, strengthen meaningful relationships, and continue building my leadership skills. Most importantly, I look forward to bringing back what I learn to better serve my region and enhance the work we are doing for families and communities."
Through a variety of activities, fellows deepen their understanding of systems transformation and hone their skills in navigating differences and bringing people together around collaborative solutions. The program begins in January.
