Inner city economic summit features keynote by Michael Porter

Michael Porter"Revisiting the Promise and Problems of Inner City Economic Development" is a two-day event that convenes on Tuesday, September 15 in Detroit. Keynote speakers include Michael Porter, the Bishop William Lawrence University Professor at Harvard Business School, and Founder and Chairman of the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC); and Matt Cullen, President and Chief Executive Officer, Rock Ventures LLC, and Chair, Detroit RiverFront Conservancy. This inner-city economic summit features new research, discussion, and practitioner experiences on inner-city growth, development, and competitiveness. It is hosted by the Federal Researve Bank of Chicago, ICIC, the W.E. Upjohn Institute, and "Economic Development Quarterly" and Sage.
