How To Use This Database
You can use this database to generate profiles of individual programs or to sort programs by a variety of characteristics, including location, year established, source of scholarship funding, type of community served, and other key characteristics.
Multiple fields can be specified to help you target your search (using CTRL-click), or the entire database (by selecting ALL) can be browsed. More than 90 variables are included though only a fraction are shown using the database search. A comprehensive list of variables covered and their definitions can be accessed here.
To Start Your Search
If you wish to browse all the promise programs listed in the database, select Browse All. To limit your search, select the appropriate filters and select Apply Filters.
Viewing Your Results
After filters are applied, all programs that meet the search requirements are displayed under the Program Summary tab. Individual programs can be compared side-by-side by checking the box of each program of interest and then viewed by selecting the Program Compare tab. You can also view the promise programs by location. Under the Program Location tab, the map feature allows you to select different filters that limit the programs displayed on the map.

This tab will show information regarding only those programs selected in the summary tab.
The Promise database currently includes entries for about 90 programs nationwide. An interactive version of this map that will allow users to sort programs based on different program characteristics is coming soon.
